Kenneth Siporin, M.D, F.A.C.S., of Los Angeles, has specialized in plastic surgery of the body for the past 12 years, during which time he has performed thousands of procedures. He has earned an impressive reputation among celebrity clientele as well as patients from throughout California and abroad. He is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. His scar closures and final results are among the most natural and impressive in the nation. Performing a single plastic surgery procedure on most days, each patient receives caring attention and focus as Dr. Siporin is involved in every aspect of each procedure. Like all FHRPS doctors, Dr. Siporin focuses on natural looking results, with minimal down time and a focus on exceeding patient expectations.
Dr. Siporin developed a keen interest cosmetic surgery based on his personal experience. As a general surgery resident, troubled by premature hair loss, Dr. Siporin himself received a hair transplant – a common cosmetic surgery procedure. When the results of that surgery did not turn out the way he had hoped, he found himself looking worse, in fact, than he did prior to the hair transplant. This experience had a profound influence on him, which is why Dr. Siporin is determined to guide each patient, step-by-step, through each surgical experience until expectations are exceeded, with an end result that is natural and virtually undetectable.
Raised in Southern California, Dr. Siporin received a Master of Science degree from Stanford University, then went on to earn his medical degree at Chicago Medical School. He spent the next five years at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles as a Chief Resident in General Surgery, where he tended to many of the most severely ill and complex surgical patients. He received excellent training in trauma, critical care, and surgical oncology. He continued his post-graduate training in a general plastic surgery residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, which was followed by two plastic surgery fellowships; the first at Boston University, and finally, an aesthetic fellowship at the Davies Medical Center, a UC-San Francisco affiliate. Currently, Dr. Siporin’s memberships include the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He has appeared twice on the nationally syndicated television program “The Doctors Show,” performing eyebrow transplants and FUE, as well as on TNT, Spike T.V., and NBC news and has even hosted a radio show on cosmetic surgery.
Additionally, since completing his plastic surgery residency, Dr. Siporin has traveled to Guatemala and Ecuador to treat underprivileged patients with cleft lips, cleft palates, and other deformities. He continues to plan trips to help others in third world countries. Here at home, he brings the same care and compassion to his hair patients, as he aims to restore self-confidence and self-esteem.
In summary, as a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Siporin brings his excellent surgical training and keen sense of aesthetics, along with his compassion and commitment, to every patient.
