Though you may be unaware of this type of surgery, the butt lift is similar, in many ways, to a breast lift. It just happens in a different area. It may help for you to compare the two procedures. If you, or someone you know, feel you may want or need a butt lift, our surgical staff is here to help, with offices located in both Miami, Florida, and Los Angeles, California.
Below, you can find pertinent information about this procedure, and answers to common questions.
What Is a Butt Lift? A butt lift is a type of butt augmentation procedure. The surgeons will use the patient’s own harvested fat, which results in a more youthful and perky buttocks.
Am I a Good Candidate for This Procedure? You should always consult with your physician before undergoing any surgical procedure. However, there are people for which this operation can prove useful.
Ideal candidates for this operation include those whose buttocks may be prolapsed (droopy), and / or patients with a volume deficit.
Butt Lift: What to Expect, From Start to Finish: After visiting our offices (located in Miami or Los Angeles), and consulting with our surgeons, your surgery will be scheduled for your next visit.
At this point, you will be prepped for surgery, and taken to the operating room. There, you will be anesthetized (general anesthesia will be applied), and the procedure will begin.
Our surgeons remove the fat from selected areas of the patient’s body, where it is purified, and then re-injected into the buttocks. In order to achieve the “lifted-look”, the injections are made to the upper part of the buttocks, in order to attain a more youthful and attractive result.
Bear in mind, not all fat will be taken from the buttocks. Any fat needed for the procedure which cannot be taken from the buttocks will be taken via liposuction.
The surgery itself should last approximately 2 hours, after which you will be allowed to return home.
Recovery, and What Comes After: Unlike the other procedures you might undertake, there is a chance that not all the fat which is re-injected into you will “take”, or reintegrate itself into your system. This isn’t harmful to you, it merely necessitates further visits, if you don’t see the desired results after approximately 3 months.
You will need to wear compression / support materials for 4-6 weeks, and it is advised that, due to discomfort, you avoid sitting as much as possible for at least a week.
When Can I Return to Work / Other Activities? It is recommended that you take at least a week away from work. After four to six weeks, you may resume exercising.
