Thigh Lift

Another “under the radar” bit of surgery, the thigh lift is, like the butt lift before it, similar to a breast lift. If you, or someone you know, feel you may want or need a thigh lift, our surgical staff is here to help, with offices located in both Miami, Florida, and Los Angeles, California.

Below, you can find pertinent information about this procedure, and answers to common questions.

What Is a Thigh Lift?
A thigh lift is an operation designed to tighten the skin of the thigh while simultaneously minimizing sagging in both the outer and inner thigh.

Would I Be a Good Candidate for This Type of Operation?
Possibly. As long as you are an otherwise healthy man or woman. Always consult your physician. Generally, those patients who have drooping inner thigh skin would benefit from this procedure, as it will tighten the skin and correct the contour of the inner thigh at the same time. Patients who have lost a lot of weight are also good candidates.

Thigh Lifts: What to Expect, From Start to Finish:
After visiting our offices (located in Miami or Los Angeles) for a consult, your surgery will be scheduled for your next visit.

At this point, you will be prepped for surgery, and taken to the operating room. There, you will be anesthetized (general anesthesia will be applied), and the procedure will begin.

The surgery is performed at our surgical suite in Miami. The surgeon and patient, during the consultation period, make a joint decision as to how much skin is going to be removed. As with all surgical procedures, there will be scarring. However, the surgery is designed to place the scar where it will be most inconspicuous.

The operation itself is rather simple; excess skin and fat are removed, and the thigh skin which is left is then lifted and tightened. It may be necessary in some cases, or for some patients, to undergo liposuction to remove excess tissue. This procedure can also be performed in conjunction with other operations.

The surgery will take a few hours, after which the patient will be discharged, and allowed to return home.

Recovery, and What Comes After:
The patient will likely be instructed to wear leg supports, and should avoid unnecessary leg motion. However, you should be able to return to moderate activity after about two weeks.

When Can I Return to Work / Other Activities?
It is advised that you take at least 14 days away from work, after which you may return, complications / circumstances notwithstanding.
